Glad your dog survived. My uncle's dog was hit twice - he built a pen for it. He figured it was cheaper than the $500 per surgery.

It's a good thing she didn't need a $500 surgery. I'd have had to put her down for $50. I do not currently have $500 for a dog when my tires are balding and snow will soon be coming.
It would have broken my heart, but I'd have had no other choice really.
